Description

The Hebrew Book from the Beginning (Part I and Part II) is a new book of experience and research. The writers of the book are Shlomit Chayat, Sarah Israeli and Hila Kobliner, both teachers in the Hebrew teaching unit at the School for Overseas Students of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

The book is intended for students of Hebrew at the level of beginners: high school students, students and adults studying in Israel and abroad. This book, with its two parts, will be familiar with all the basic phenomena of the language and will have good control over the various skills: writing, speaking, reading comprehension and listening comprehension. In both parts of the new book, the student is exposed to a wide variety of reading and discourse segments from various linguistic and linguistic combinations, alongside a systematic and gradual practice of grammar, syntax and dictionary usage.

In addition to texts and exercises, the book includes verses and midrashim, chapters on Hebrew poetry and Israeli songs, spoken phrases and contemporary slang. The vocabulary, grammatical explanations and instructions for the exercises are translated in this edition into English. At the end of the book is a Hebrew-English dictionary that includes all the vocabulary.
